COVID-19 Response

Please note that the lifting of the mask mandate on March 21 does not apply to health care settings like our clinic. Masks must continue to be worn.

Reopening during a pandemic means that we have adapted our protocols with public safety as our highest priority. These changed procedures will ensure that you, our staff and our practitioners are protected from risk associated with acquiring Covid-19. To that end, we would like to tell you more about our new safety and sanitary standards:

  • You will be actively screened over the telephone prior to your visit for any symptoms consistent with Covid-19, contact with anyone who has tested positive, and any recent travel history
  • You will also see signage throughout our clinic reminding about hand washing, social distancing and helping to reduce the spread of Covid-19
  • We will ask you to hand sanitize before you touch any surface in the clinic. Hand sanitizer can be found in every room. Please help yourselves.
  • ALL STAFF, PRACTITIONERS AND PATIENTS WILL NOW BE REQUIRED TO WEAR FACIAL MASKS IN THE CLINIC - If you forget your mask or do not have one, we have have disposable surgical masks available for $2. We will also instruct how to put the mask on correctly.
  • Our office layout has changed so you will notice our waiting room chairs are spaced 2m apart and brochures/magazines have been removed.
  • Spatial Distancing: Please abide by our markings or instructions from our staff. At all times, do your best to maintain a distance of 2m from others as you walk through the clinic.
  • Our children's area has been removed for now - so sorry but we cannot offer this service at this time due to public health concerns
  • We have installed plexiglass barriers all around our reception desk.
  • Appointment times will be scheduled further apart in order to adhere to spatial distancing protocols. For this reason, it is really important that you arrive on time for your appointment.
  • Our goal is to minimize any people waiting in our waiting area. We will aim to direct you to your treatment room as quickly as possible.
  • Also, due to spatial distancing, we cannot accept any walk-in appointments at this time. Please call ahead and we will do our best to accomodate you.
  • We will be offering special hours for seniors and patients in higher risk categories. Our goal is to schedule these groups of patients during the first 2 hours of our day and the first hour after our lunch break.
  • All chiropractic tables, furniture surfaces, pens, clipboards, therapeutic machine surfaces, and our POS machine will be sanitized (with medical grade cleaner and disinfectant) before and after each patient encounter
  • All common area touch points such as the washroom faucet, light switch and door handles will be sanitized at least 4x/day
  • Our chiropractors will perform hand hygiene (either hand washing or hand sanitizing) before and after each patient
  • A new Super HEPA filtration air purifier with UV germicidal lamp has been installed. This will help to clean and purify our indoor clinic air, keeping it as safe as possible for staff and patients. We also have mini hepa filtration air purifiers in the massage therapy and chiropractic treatment rooms.
  • Our practitioners and staff will have specific work clothes separate from home clothes and these clothes will be separated and washed frequently
  • All clinic gowns/shorts/sheets will be laundered in hot water and kept in a hamper with a closed lid
  • All staff are properly trained on the use of PPE and disinfection procedures
  • We are trying to promote a cashless and contactless payment environment. Please use debit or credit card payment, and use the "tap" option as much as possible.
  • We will be limiting the use of paper. We will email statements and appointment reminders from now on. Please update your email address with us.
  • If you arrive at our clinic exhibiting any symptoms and we conclude that you are a suspected Covid-19 case, we will unfortunately not be able to treat you as scheduled. Instead, we will give you instructions for self-isolation, completing the online self-assessment and contacting our local medical officer of health.

We look forward to helping you achieve all of your wellness goals, while at the same time keeping us all safe!
