Diversified Technique

Diversified is one of the most common techniques used by chiropractors. After assessing the spine, the chiropractor locates areas that are subluxated, or in other words, have lost their normal function and become "stuck". Diversified is a hands-on technique that involves delivering a high velocity, low amplitude thrust to the joint in order to correct the joint dysfunction. These types of adjustments often result in a "popping" sound from the shifting of gases and fluids in the joint.

Sigma Instrument Methods (ProAdjuster)

Ajax Chiropractic & Wellness offers the Sigma Instrument technology (formerly known as ProAdjuster).

The Sigma Instrument is technology used by the chiropractors at Ajax Chiropractic & Wellness to accurately measure the fixation of the spine and treat health disturbances related to the spine and nervous system.

This technique does not involve any twisting or turning of the spine. Instead, the Sigma Instrument uses a piezoelectric sensor to measure joint stiffness and resistance. The chiropractor then uses this technology to restore movement to the neck and back by utilizing a gentle tapping force directed to the spine. The analysis and treatment is performed with the patient comfortably in the seated posiltion.

Pro Adjustor Machine

Activator

The Activator is a small hand-held adjusting instrument which delivers a precisely measured, gentle thrust in a specific direction.

Gentle and Effective - The activator is painless, effective and swift. This technique not only can be used at the spine, but is quite effective on the extremities and other joints, making it an ideal technique for the athlete or the physically active individual.

Safety - Activator is considered to be a lower force chiropractic technique which can be used without apprehension on children, the elderly or even infants. The adjustment is performed with the patient lying face down while the chiropractor analyzes the spine for subluxations, and then applies the Adjustor to the joint to deliver the adjustment for correction.
