If you answered “yes” to five or more of these questions, you may benefit a great deal from a detoxification.



What to do?


Detoxification 101 !


The first thing you should do to start a detox is to consult with a naturopathic doctor. A naturopath will determine when you should do the detoxification program and which one to follow.

The general detox steps listed below are not necessarily for everyone, and so it is important that you have consulted with a naturopath first.


If you cannot make an appointment with a naturopathic doctor then there are still a number of things you can do yourself. Make a commitment to yourself to follow the below steps for 7 days. You will feel much better and it will do wonders for your liver.

1. Eliminate all sugars, salt, caffeine, alcohol, saturated fats, dairy products, red meat, eggs, foods containing gluten. Go with gluten free bread/ —if you have to. It is better to stay totally clear.

2. Have 1 cup oatmeal in the morning with sprinkled with few cooked raisins, cinnamon and stevia as sweetener.

3. Have no animal products whatsoever—instead of meat have firm or extra firm tofu as a substitute. All vegetables can be used except potatoes.

4. Have 2 servings of salads/ 4 different greens/ sprouts/day--make sure you add some chopped parsley, garlic, avocado and dandelion/—use only 1 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar+1tsp honeyas dressing. This can be diluted with some distilled water.

5. Have 2 cups of different berries as two snacks-11am/3pm

6. In the evening have a large fruit salad, make sure it has papaya/pineapple/pears and at least 3 other fruits and a handful of blueberries. NO banana.

7. A great detoxifying agent is the fresh juice of a lemon or lime in a glass of distilled water first thing in the morning alternating every other morning with 1 IBs apple cider vinegar instead of lemon or lime./ and 3 oz beet juice/20oz carrot juice in the evening diluted 50/50 with some spring water.

8. Drink only distilled water / no spring or tap water.

9. Have a daily bath adding 1 cup of Epsom salts to the bathwater. Have the water to the most tolerable temperature so that you perspire.

10. Have a hot chamomile/ or rosehip/ tea with a teaspoonful of honey bundle up and make sure you continue to perspire.
